Farley Hill is known to be the most imposing mansion in Barbados. This mansion was once owned by Sir Graham Briggs. Farley Hill is a magnificent spot for picnics and relaxation. There is a breathe taking scenery of the parish of St. Peter, which is where the property is found.
The building of Farley Hill Georgian mansion first started in 1818. 50 years after the building of the mansion, rooms were constantly being added, making Farley Hill the biggest and most impressive mansion in Barbados. After the mansion was destroyed by fire in 1965, the property was acquired by the Barbados Government and on February 15, 1966, the grounds were officially re-opened and is now called the Farley Hill National Park. Many events are now been held under the tall mahogany trees found in Farley Hill National Park including picnics, wedding venue, and vista point. Throughout the years, Farley Hill is transformed into a stage and is being made a venue to host some of Barbados most popular events including Gospel Fest, Soca on the Hill & Reggae on the Hill.
